Four years after a trio of young investors purchased Fire Island’s most iconic commercial establishments, they’re on the market again.
It seems there’s never a dull day in America’s most famous gay resort town: Fire Island’s commercial strip is on sale and available to anyone with a spare $19.5 million.

Three owners — Matthew Blesso, Andrew Kirtzman, and Seth Weissman — purchased the commercial strip in 2010, netting famous spots like the Pavilion nightclub and Blue Whale restaurant. That was before much of the retail properties were destroyed by a fire in November 2011.

The new owners rebuilt much of the strip and introduced a newly-designed Pavilion (another blaze ripped through Fire Island this summer, but it was near a hook-up spot, not the retail area). Now, “the ownership has decided to explore the sale and/or lease of the properties, passing the torch on to someone who can continue their vision and execute a broader redevelopment plan,” according to a press release from the owners.

Potential buyers can break up the parcel and purchase it in parts. The Botel hotel and Blue Whale must be sold together though, and have an asking price of $8,500,000. The Pavilion, and an adjacent house, is going for $5,500,000, while the Pool Deck bar and Cultured Elephant restaurant can be purchased together for $3,500,000.
