‘Ronald’, A Short Documentary About a Man Who Was McDonald’s Official Ronald McDonald Mascot for 12 Years

“Ronald” is a short documentary by The Guardian that focuses on Joe Maggard, one of the few men to have played McDonald’s official Ronald McDonald mascot. Maggard served between 1995 and 2007, though he says he never really retired. In the documentary, Maggard discusses his work as the famous clown, puts on the costume, and visits a Las Vegas carnival to high-five people.
