Fierth Magazine: What is your name?

Kyle Brincefield

FM:    What exactly are you wearing right now?

KB:     Tank top and my painting sweatpants.

FM:    How tall are you? 

KB:     5’11

FM:    How do you keep it real?


FM:    Describe your home in 6 words or less.

KB:     Artistic Downtown Vibe Party Crash Pad

FM:    What were you like as a child?

KB:     Diva

FM:    Describe a time/event in your life that you’re nostalgic for.

KB:     Visiting Europe for 4 weeks in 2005.Holland,Greece,Italy,France, andEngland! Can not wait to go back!

FM:    As a teenager where did you think you would be now?

KB:     InNew York Cityworking in Fashion.

FM:    What does your mother say about you?

KB:     Wild child.

FM:    If someone wrote a biography on your life, what do you think the title should be?

KB:     €œFlagged & Removed€

FM:    If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? 

KB:     Advanced Sewing, Pattern making, Draping.

FM:    What brings you the most joy?

KB:     Oliver, My muggin.

FM:    What motivates you in life?

KB:    New York City

FM:    If you weren’t doing what you are doing now, what do you think you would be doing?

KB:     If I would have never had the balls to up and leaveIndianaforNew York… I’m sure I would still be waiting tables inIndianaat the local Roadhouse.  Yeah€¦.

FM:    What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

KB:     I was a horrible teenager, I did EVERYTHING you could imagine to get in trouble and got caught every time.  Cutting school, drugs, drinking, expulsion from school, DUI, arrested multiple times€¦ I was bored A LOT.

FM:    Do you collect anything? If so, what?

KB:     I’ve recently started collecting New York Nightlife memorabilia that I have been coming across on Ebay, old flyers, klub kid cards, stickers, etc€¦ I also have been building a vast hat and sneaker collection the past few months…

FM:    What’s the weirdest item you’ve ever mourned losing? 

KB:     Adam Lambert’s cell phone, One drunken night at the F-word at Rebel I was talking/making out with a very, very drunken Adam Lambert, he gave me his phone to put my number in and suddenly felt sick and was rushed off by one of his girlfriends, leave me with his iPhone. The password was 1111 and it was a jackpot of celebrity numbers, before I could copy’em down a “friend” convinced me to find his publicist and do the good deed of returning the phone… I’ve been spiteful since, but managed to get Gaga’s number and a hilarious prank call out of the whole ordeal 😉

FM:    Do you have any obsessions right now?

KB:     STUDmuffin NYC

FM:    What is your guilty pleasure?

KB:     Sneakers

FM:    If you could buy anything regardless of cost, what would you buy?

KB:     Art.  Jean-Michel Basquiat, Warhol, Jeff Koons, Sprouse, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf.

FM:    What were you doing right before this interview?

KB:     Studding a bandana.

FM:    What do you think about before falling asleep?

KB:     ALL the things I would €œlike€ to accomplish the next day€¦ I make A LOT of lists.

FM:    What were you doing last night at Midnight?

KB:     Painting a Sweatshirt.

FM:    Who was the last person you talked to last night before you went to bed?

KB:     My best pal, Devin.

FM:    What do you think about and are the first three things you do first after waking up in the morning?

KB:     Smoke, Walk Oliver, Oatmeal!

FM:    What do you daydream about?

KB:     Becoming Rich and Famous.

FM:    Which sense- touch, sight, taste, smell or hearing – could you not live without?

KB:     Smell€¦ There are some pretty funky smells block to block in NY

FM:    What is your favorite sound?

KB:     NYC

FM:    Where is your favorite place to lunch? 

KB:     Blockhead’s.  €œ WE WENT FOR MARGARIIIIIITAS!! €œ

FM:    Do you know how to cook? What do you most like to make?

KB:     Yes. Oatmeal for breakfast, Chicken breast for lunch, Chicken breast for dinner.

FM:    Which stars, if any leave you star struck?

KB:     Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, I adore the work ethic and style.

FM:    Who are your main inspirations?

KB:     Patricia Field, Keith Haring, Stephen Sprouse, Kenny Scharf, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Warhol, Studio 54, Rock n’ Roll, CBGB

FM:    Whom do you despise?

KB:     I adore all!

FM:    Do you believe in reincarnation?

KB:     NO.

FM:    Do you believe in karma?

KB:     NO.

FM: If you could choose a superhero power, what would it be, and how would you use it. [Invisibility, Ability to Fly, Super Strength, Read Peoples Mind’s, Elasticity or Super Stamina ]

KB:     Flight. ( I would )  Save SO much money on cabs and transportation.

FM:    Ever had a rumor spread about you?

KB:     Never.

FM:    What’s something about yourself that no one knows?

KB:     Socially Anxious.

FM:    What’s the strangest thing you’ve done this week?

KB:     Have we met? Every night is pretty bizarre.
