Fierth gets to know the prolific Artist Walt Cessna. Walt’s talents have lent themselves to many different outlets from his beginnings in fashion as Stylist and Designer, as well as his inspired writing and serving as Editor to several magazines not to mention his overwhelming body of work as a Visual Artist and Photographer.     Walt’s latest endeavor in publishing bears the fruit of two books to be released in 2012. The re-release his acclaimed “Fukt 2 Start With“; a collection of short stories, photographs and Illustrations    as well as “WOLFPACK”    a collection of intimate and visually innovative portraits. Get to know Walt Cessna.

Walt Cessna

FM:  Do you have a nick-name?

WC:  Skip

FM:  What is your motto?

WC:  Come correct or don’t come at all

FM:  What exactly are you wearing right now?

WC:  Pac Sun super skinny over dyed black jeans, white hanes tagless t-shirt from boys dept. , vintage grey suede Hush Puppy’s and a smug expression brought on by a half smoked spliff.

FM:  How tall are you?   

WC:  6 ft 2

FM:  How do you keep it real?

WC:  Noxema

FM:  What were you doing right before this interview?

WC:  Cursing under my breath because my model canceled at the last minute.

FM:  Describe your home in 6 words or less.

WC:  Shabby chic without the chic

FM:  What were you like as a child?

WC:  An ungodly terror

FM:  Describe a time or event in your life that you’re nostalgic for.

WC:  Pulling out of the Port Authority bus terminal heading toHollywoodwhen I was running away at age 14.

FM:  As a teenager where did you think you would be now?

WC:  The world’s greatest fashion designer

FM:  What does your mother say about you?

WC:  What doesn’t she say about me

FM:  If someone wrote a biography on your life, what do you think the title should be?

WC:  Fukt 2 Start With

FM:  If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?   

WC:  Type with more than one finger.

FM:  What brings you the most joy?

WC:        Cookie Puss ice cream cakes from Carvel

FM:  What motivates you in life?

WC:  Waking & baking

FM:  What’s the strangest thing you’ve done this week?

WC:  Not get stoned

FM:  What makes you angry ?

WC:  Ignorant & pretentious trolls

FM:  Whom do you despise?

WC:  Fame whores

FM:  If you weren’t doing what you are doing now, what do you think you would be doing?

WC:  Teaching

FM:  What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

WC:  Nightclubs, drugs & older men

FM:  Do you collect anything? If so, what?

WC:  Sharpies

FM:  Do you have any obsessions right now?

WC:  Green Tea Haagen Daz Ice Cream

FM:        What’s the weirdest item you’ve ever mourned losing?

WC:  A very worn in Dickies work shirt with a patch on it that said Mike that I used to wear for good luck when I was a rent boy inSan Francisco. My hooker name was Mike.

FM:  What is your greatest extravagance?

WC:  My camera

FM:  If you could buy anything regardless of cost, what would you buy?

WC:  The most expensive hard body digital Leica camera that exists.

FM:  What do you daydream about?

WC:  Driving up PCH 1 toSan Franciscolistening to Luscious Jackson and eating Pirate Booty

FM:  What do you think about and are the first three things you do first after waking up in the morning?

WC:  Pray that my meds won’t make me nauseous

FM:  What were you doing last night at Midnight?

WC:  Editing film, eating Cheerios and lamenting the fact that I’m single and 47 lol.

FM:  Who was the last person you talked to last night before you went to bed?

WC:  God

FM:  What do you think about before falling asleep?

WC:  How I’m probably NOT going to be able to fall asleep

FM:  Have you ever felt hopeless? How did you get through it?

WC:  Yes. By remaining stoned since the age of 17

FM:  What is your guilty pleasure?

WC:  Wanking off to tumblr

FM:  What is your   €œ Safety Word  €

WC:  Cut it out or I’ll cut you

FM:  What is your favorite sound?

WC:  My ex-boyfriend sighing

FM:  What is your favorite song?

WC:  Nothing Fails by Madonna

FM:  Which sense- [touch, sight ,taste, smell or hearing] – could you not live without.

WC:  Sight. I’m a photographer.

FM:  Where is your favorite place to lunch?

WC:  MUDD on E 9th St.

FM:  Do you know how to cook? What do you most like to make ?

WC:  Yes! Ziti!

FM:  What’s something about yourself that no one knows?

WC:  My best friend in high school turned out to be my half-brother

FM:  Which stars, if any, leave you star struck?

WC:  Edie Falco

FM:  Who are your main inspirations?

WC:  Avedon, Russ Meyer, Diana Vreeland, Larry Clark, Gus Vant & Michael Economy

FM:  You can trade places with any other person, living or dead, for 24 hours. Who would you choose and why?

WC:     Chuck Palahniuk. He’s my favorite writer and I would love to see things through his eyes for just one day

FM:  Do you believe in reincarnation?

WC:  Yes, but I think this is my last stab at clearing up all my fukt up karma and I won’t be coming back again.

FM:  Do you believe in karma?

WC:  See reincarnation, above.

FM:  Ever had a rumor spread about you?

WC:  Too many to recall

FM:  Do you have a bucket list? List some things on it.

WC:  Giving a big kiss and warm sincere hug to everyone who’s talked shit about me over the past 5 years.

FM:  What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done   for you?

WC:  Stood vigil at my bedside while I was in a coma

FM:  If you could choose a superhero power, What would it be, And how would you use it. [Invisibility, Ability to Fly, Super Strength, Read Peoples Mind’s ,Elasticity,    or Super Stamina]

WC:  Read people minds so I never fall into the trap of assumption again

FM:  Which causes do you believe in the most in, and why?

WC: AliForneyCenterProtecting LGBT Youth. I wish there had been something like this when I was a gay teen trying to come out and running away.

FM:  What are you going to do next?

WC:  Destroy mankind
