Fierth:            What is your motto?

Iggy:                Trust your struggle

Fierth:            How do you describe your work?

Iggy:                I’m a rapper.

Fierth:            What about your work (or process) frustrates you? 

Iggy:                Being misunderstood

Fierth:            What accomplishment are you most proud of? 

Iggy:                Being nominated for the freshman XXL cover (hoping I get it!)

Fierth:            What is the secret to success? 

Iggy:                Be consistent

Fierth:            What do you like most about what you do?

Iggy:                Giving other people an escape from the mundane

Fierth:            How tall are you?

Iggy:                5′ 10

Fierth:            Where are you based, where do you call home?

Iggy:                In love with unicorns

Fierth:            Where did you grow up?

Iggy:               Australia

Fierth:            As a teenager where did you think you would be now?

Iggy:                I thought id be doing exactly what I’m doing now

Fierth:            What are some qualities you value in your friends? 

Iggy:                Smart, with no feathers.


Fierth:            If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Iggy:                Speak another language

Fierth:            Have you ever felt hopeless? How did you get through it?

Iggy:                Ate a lot of cheese puffs and wrote rap songs in my bedroom

Fierth:            What makes you angry? 

Iggy:                When people portray me as being ‘overtly sexualized’ or say I’m a ‘vagina rapper’.

I only have 1 song about my vagina! Fuck off!

Fierth:            What brings you the most joy?

Iggy:                The unexpected.

Fierth:            What motivates you in life?

Iggy:                Wanting to be number 1.

Fierth:            If you weren’t doing what you are doing now, what do you think you would be doing?

Iggy:                Managing an artist maybe, or brand consulting in some way.

Fierth:            What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

Iggy:                Loads of stuff, I was a wild child. Stealing money from my mother once got me in the most trouble i’ve ever been in… she took all the furniture out of my room until id played the money back. She thought I had stolen it to buy drugs with, but it was really to buy gold teeth. Pretty horrible.

Fierth:            Are you a morning or night person?

Iggy:                I’m a night person, I hate mornings!!

Fierth:            Do you collect anything?

Iggy:                Sometimes I take little objects and save them for memories, at my first big label meeting we had a bottle of really expensive wine and I snuck home the cork!

Fierth:            What is your greatest extravagance?

Iggy:                Shoes.

Fierth:            What is your guilty pleasure?

Iggy:                Papa Johns

Fierth:            If you could buy anything regardless of cost, what would you buy?

Iggy:                A big lavish house in the hills ofHollywood

Fierth:            What were you doing right before this interview?

Iggy:                Sleeping

Fierth:            What do you think about before falling asleep?

Iggy:                Lately, I’ve been thinking about furniture – I’m re doing my apartment and it’s become my sick addiction.

Fierth:            Who was the last person you talked to last night before you went to bed?

Iggy:                My friend Krissy, it was her birthday and I missed it because I was on a plane.

Fierth:            What do you think about and are the first three things you do first after waking up in the morning?

Iggy:                Grab my laptop and check my emails, look in the mirror and check that my skin is clear, then Peezy comes in the room and tells me everything on the agenda for the day.

Fierth:            What do you daydream about?

Iggy:                Winning a Grammy and what I’d say in the speech!

Fierth:            What do you think is the meaning of life? 

Iggy:                I have no idea, I think you’ve just got to live it, enjoy it and do your best to make sure others are too.

Fierth:            What is your beauty secret? 

Iggy:                Witch hazel.

Fierth:            What is your favorite song?

Iggy:                Aquemini is up there, I play it before I go on stage every show.

Fierth:            What is your favorite sound?

Iggy:                The noise the ATM machine makes when it’s about to give you your money…

Fierth:            What if any books (or any media) you reading right now? 

Iggy:                ‘The land where the blues began’

Fierth:            Where is your favorite place to lunch?

Iggy:                CW and Chris Wings, Soho House LA or Maestro’s Steakhouse.

Fierth:            Do you know how to cook? What do you most like to make?

Iggy:                I love making dessert crepes, but I can’t cook many things… I’ve never taken the time to sit down and really learn since I’m always working.

Fierth:            You can trade places with any other person, living or dead, for 24 hours. Who would you choose and why?

Iggy:                Tupac. Just because I think his life was so interesting.

Fierth:            Which places have you traveled to that you feel had changed your perspective of the world? 

Iggy:               Thailand with my best friend Peezy, I’d love to do it again. I think it made us closer and we also went to the temple of the emerald Buddha and that changed my perspective on my life outlook and helped me change a lot of things I was doing that were detrimental to my happiness and success.

Fierth:            If you could choose a superhero power, what would it be, and how would you use it.

Iggy:                I would want be able to fly, because I dream I can fly ALL the time already.

Fierth:            Do you believe in karma?

Iggy:                I do. I think that everything in the world emits an energy and + attracts + just as – attracts -, I think when you do something negative or think it, that’s what you attract back in your life. I try to stay positive.

Fierth:            What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for you?

Iggy:                Someone really special got me a Christmas gift this year and it was unexpected, I thought it was very very sweet.

Fierth:            Ever had a rumor spread about you?

Iggy:                Yes, all the time. The most annoying one is that i have a fake butt or that I’m ‘secretly signed’

Fierth:            What’s the strangest thing you’ve done this month?

Iggy:                It’s only the 2nd; I’ve been on a plane for most of it!

Fierth:            What are you going to do next?

Iggy:                I’m going to sign a record deal and release my album ‘the new classic’
