FIERTH i-ON Interview with LYPSINKA – THREE Live Stage Shows now in NYC !!,

I had the privilege of seeing two of Lypsinka’ s THREE shows that currently has going on at the Connelly Theater. Lypsinka A.K.A. John Epperson has been entertaining crowds for quite a while, these were my first, Fair enough since this was the first time in 9 years Lypsinka took to the New York stage. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but knowing Lypsinka’ s legendary status I knew I had been missing something grand all of these years. The first show ‘The Boxed Set’ exceeded my wild dreams with a perfectly executed surreal set of imagery and sound bites from classic films.  This masterfully dubbed piece comes together as a narrative existential show that could be appreciated by classic-Hollywood fans to today’s cut and paste meme generation. Lypsinka doesn’t miss a beat, flashy Costume changes and creative set design keep you entranced, shows like this don’t come around too often anymore.

The second Show, ‘The Passion of the Crawford’ Pays high-camp homage to Joan Crawford’s 1973 interview with John Springer, Lypsinka in blazing glory transcends the already jaded and probably loaded ( glug glug) Joan Crawfords to new highs. You feel as if you are live on-set in the studio as the torrential interview sweeps into full storm, leveling stars like Greta Garbo and her bitter sweet battle with the Hollywood Machine. Both shows are a must see- and will be playing through January 3rd,2015 Ticket info
